AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Dr Aina Greig MA PhD FRCS(Plast) is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register. She is in private practice, based in London.

As a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Greig was awarded a Clinical Excellence Award, a GSTT Trust Care Award and the position of Honorary Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Kings College London.
Dr Greig has more than 60 publications, including three randomized controlled trials, participating both as Principal Investigator and Co-Chief Investigator. The national (20 Centre) NINJA randomized controlled trial was funded by a Research for Patient Benefit Grant from the National Institute for Health Research.
Dr Greig did her Plastic Surgery training on the Pan Thames Plastic Surgery Training Programme. She was the first UK plastic surgeon to do the Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship with Dr Joseph G. McCarthy at the prestigious Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, New York University Langone Medical Center, USA, winning an Ethicon Foundation Fund Award and BAPRAS Travelling Fellowship Award. She also did a Craniofacial Fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she won the Journal of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Prize, a Craniofacial Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and a Microsurgery Fellowship focusing on Breast Surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Dr Greig was the first plastic surgeon to win the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery International Fellowship, learning from world experts in plastic surgery in the USA.
Dr Greig has a PhD in Anatomy from University College London, and was awarded a Wellcome Trust Fellowship, The Simpson Surgical Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Arris and Gale Lectureship, and the John Calder Medal for her PhD research.
Dr Greig was an Anatomy Demonstrator at Cambridge University and was an Anatomy Supervisor at Downing College and Kings College, Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge University with the Surgery Prize.
